EKWB Releases First AMD FirePro Water Blocks

EK Waterblocks has released two water blocks, one for the FirePro S10000 series and another for the FirePro W9000 series workstation graphics cards.

Both the units are made with EKWB's high flow design, making them suitable for weaker pumps. They are made of C110 grade electrolytic copper, with a top plate that is stainless steel. Brass washers are installed right out of the box, and all the units that ship from the factory have been pressure tested and come with one gram of Arctic Cooling MX-2 thermal interface material.

The EK-FCS10000 cools the two GPUs, the RAM and the VRMs. The same applies to the EK-FCW9000, but it cools the one and only GPU on the FirePro W9000 Series graphics cards.

Both the units will be available on Friday, April 5 for an MSRP of $153.60 and $179.22 for the EK-FCW9000 and the EK-FCS10000, respectively.

Now that's a sharp looking block. I wish they'd ditch the whole CSQ design and move towards this!

I recall there was a university where they used waste water heated from the servers for warming the dorm's hot water supply.

There are also a few where they use the bottom of a deep lake as a heat exchange...
