EKWB Adds PreciseMount Mounting Mechanism for AMD CPUs

EKWB has released the PreciseMount kit for its AMD CPU water blocks by making use of the factory-installed AMD backplate.

EKWB has introduced the PreciseMount system -- a new mounting mechanism for its EK-Supreme LTX AMD blocks.

The PreciseMount mounting mechanism makes it possible to install the water blocks on AMD systems by using the standard built-in AMD backplate. In the past, users had to reach to the back of their motherboard to be able to fasten the water blocks. Assuming that the standard backplate doesn't shift around too much after removing the top of the stock AMD mounting mechanism, it is a tool-free, hassle-free installation process if the PreciseMount mechanism is used. Due to the use of a backplate, slightly more pressure can be applied, thus thermal performance should improve.

While the PreciseMount mechanism for the EK-Supreme LTX AMD blocks is now included as a standard kit, it can also be purchased separately for those who already own an EK-Supreme LTX AMD water block. The PreciseMount kit retails for $9.20 through the EKWB webshop.

    That is awesome, typically AMD fans are treated like the red headed stepchild in the WC world. Bonus for not having to remove the mobo for the waterblock upgrade!

    Maybe if AMD supplied better stock coolers with their CPUs, we wouldn't have as much of a need for elaborate solutions to their HOT CPUs.

    thats my Motherboard! :) Took me 3 attempts to get the CM Hyper EVO 212 on like it showed! so tight fitting!
