Fast and Furious: New 7200 mobile drives from Hitachi And Seagate
Seagate Momentus 7200.1 Ultra ATA
The UltraATA/100 version of Seagate's new Momentus 7200.1 high performance notebook hard drive is surprisingly a bit faster than the Serial ATA model, although the difference is tiny. Since the vast majority of today's notebooks have not yet made the transition to Serial ATA, we suppose this will be the version that Seagate will sell most of, by far. There is also another application for the SATA version that is mentioned on the manufacturer's data sheet: non-critical blade servers.
