Access Time
It's obvious that a single hard drive offers shorter access times than a RAID array. Whether you use a RAID 0 or a RAID 5 doesn't make much of a difference. Overall, the access times at 10,000 RPM were in between 8.1 and 8.5 ms, while the 15,000 RPM arrays delivered 5.9 to 6.3 ms.

DeanRS The Raid 0 benchmarks include Raid 5 File server that is also shown again in the Raid 5 Benchmarks section. Raid 5 shows webserver data and Raid 0 does not. I think that the Raid 0 webserver data is not shown as Raid 5 fileserver data is in its place.Reply
