High-End P67 Express: Five $200-250 Motherboards

Benchmark Results: Synthetics

3DMark shows an unusual advantage favoring ASRock’s motherboards, even though they use a slightly lower base clock than Asus. Drivers are also similar between the platforms.

ASRock also tops the PCMark charts and—spoiler alert—Futuremark’s tests are the only place where this peculiar performance advantage is noticeable.

Sandra’s CPU tests show Asus with a slight lead over ASRock, which makes sense because ASRock uses a 0.2 MHz lower-than-standard base clock.

We questioned whether ASRock might have unlocked some hidden DRAM performance, but Sandra's Memory Bandwidth test shows that this is not the case.
