Necessary for connecting the CPU pins on the underside: stranded hook-up wire that has been carefully un-isolated.
Only for adjustment of the loop: the thin wire is placed around the two outside pins and then looped.
The loop is then pulled hard.
Highly magnified representation: now the wire can be taken off the pins again.
