On the other hand, considering the portability of the drive, I felt that the software's file encryption feature was a very sensible inclusion, letting the user protect sensitive information. In practice, though, it is very annoying that a password must be created (and of course remembered) for each and every individual file. Sadly, the encryption feature does not offer an option to protect entire directories or the complete drive.
Test Setup And Benchmarks
As usual, my testing platform consisted of a Gateway M460XLb, which is a 15.4" notebook. To test the drive's performance, I used the well-known c't h2benchw, version 3.6.
