Summer 2006 GeForce 7 Graphics Gear
Black & White 2
Black & White 2 is evil to graphics cards. The XFX GeForce 7950GX2 and the PNY 7900GTX are the only cards able to render frames at 2560x1600 with the settings maxed out. Interestingly we see the high overclock speeds of the XFX GeForce 7900GT come into play. When the results are GPU limited, a small boost to the clock speeds will yield solid dividends and the overclocking really shows. In Black & White 2 we can also see the frailty of the GeForce 7600GT cards. Anyone playing with features turned on and a resolution set above 1024x768 will be in for a glorified slideshow. The GeForce 7800 cards are not much better off than the overclocked GeForce 7600GT.
