Extreme FSB: Taking the E6750 Beyond 4 GHz
Applications
3D Studio Max loves CPU speed and not much else, so it's no surprise that the three boards that tied in CPU overclocking also tied in this benchmark.
Audio Encoding
Lame and OGG are also highly CPU-dependant, so again it's no surprise to see all three equal CPU overclocks produce similar audio encoding times. Gigabyte's P35T-DQ6 appears to win OGG, but the one-second difference shown by the benchmark is likely fractional.
Video
DivX likes the P5K Premium, while XviD prefers the P35T-DQ6 by a smaller amount. Both codecs are tested under TMPGenc Express, a program that has a great deal of memory bandwidth dependence, so it's impressive to see Asus' DDR2 board doing well. MSI's relatively poor results could hint at a memory performance problem in its highly-overclocked state.
