Sapphire has announced that they are currently developing the Atomic HD 7990 graphics card that features two Tahiti XT2 GPUs, 6 GB of GDDR5 memory, six mini-DisplayPort outputs, and requires three 8-pin PCIe power connectors.
The Atomic HD 7990 will also be offered with a rather imposing looking liquid cooling system that includes a full copper water block, a front 5.25-inch reservoir with one pump (upgradable to two pumps), a 240 mm radiator and two 120 mm cooling fans. Though Sapphire hasn’t provided any information on the graphics card’s clock rates, we can safely assume that the Atomic HD 7990 will be impressively overclocked and consequently, justify the inclusion of the liquid cooling system.
