A pretty platter of portable PC's pepper CES 2026

Asus is packing AMD's latest Strix Halo processor into its thin and light TUF Gaming A14 laptops.

Asus’ latest ROG Kithara wired headset sports customized, open-back HiFiMan planar magnetic drivers, a removable MEMS boom mic, and a balanced cable with swappable plugs.

Magnetic switches, 8K polling, and a tactile wheel for fine-tuning switch sensitivity – but I’d like to see a wireless model.

Two new ROG Zephyrus laptops, available with a 14-inch or 16-inch display, come with either an Intel Core Ultra 300 or AMD Ryzen AI CPU, plus up to an RTX 5090 GPU.

The Wi-Fi 8 concept router emphasizes stable performance, smarter bandwidth use, and improved mesh networking all wrapped up in a D20 looking 'dice'.

There are also new gaming laptops.

Asus taps Xreal to bring some gaming cred to its new AR glasses, and the ROG Xreal R1 delivers with a 240 Hz refresh rate.

This is only the beginning.

Asus teases forthcoming Neo AM5 motherboards supporting AMD's Ryzen processors, to be officially announced at CES 2026.
