CD-RW Writing
With rewritable CDs, the Samsung TS-H522B was fastest, with a writing speed of 32x; it took a little more than 3 minutes and 40 seconds to completely burn an 80-minute CD-RW. Note, however, that there's very little difference (12 seconds) between that and the fastest 24x burner (the BenQ DW-1620). So, the gain is minimal, and there's also the drawback of being limited to using 32x-certified CD-RWs.

sasquatch451 Please report noise levels in optical drive reviews. This is a big factor in which drive to buy for some people. My current DVD burner sounds like a jet engine for 5 minutes after putting a disc in.Reply
