Asus DRW-1604P
Asus, the famous manufacturer of motherboards, graphics cards, and other PC components, also offers optical peripherals. Since Asus is not a drive manufacturer, they rely on the services of a recognized specialist, Pioneer. The DRW-1604P has the same characteristics as the DVR-108 and the DVR-A08XLA. To protect against write failures, Asus has built in FlextraLink technology. The FlextraSpeed system adjusts and optimizes the burning speed to suit the quality of the media.

sasquatch451 Please report noise levels in optical drive reviews. This is a big factor in which drive to buy for some people. My current DVD burner sounds like a jet engine for 5 minutes after putting a disc in.Reply
