During our visit to the optics lab, we noticed that Logitech leaves nothing to chance in optics either. There are lots of constraints. Since the mice are mass-produced, rationalizing is important. A major player such as Logitech has to ensure that the optics consist of a single part. Here are the optics for the MX sensor.
To develop the most effective lens, the accuracy of its photos taken of the surface are analyzed. Then the exact positioning is examined in relation to the sensor down to a tenth of a millimeter. After development, the first lenses are manufactured, then tested in situ, so that defects can be corrected.
