This DLP model is based on the new Texas Instruments DarkChip 2 chipset. It's supposed to improve the contrast ratio and black density. Texas Instruments also supplies the True Vision video processor, which eliminates video noise and improves overall image quality.
Handsome Is
The Toshiba MT 200 was shipped in a black carrying case which also holds the video cables (S-Video and 3-meter RCA composite), a power cable and the little remote control. The build quality of the product is excellent. The tasteful white pearl-like shell is very nicely set off by chromed buttons, giving the projector a look that's both restrained and modern. The navigation arrows are surrounded by a slight greenish halo of light that softly lights the buttons for operating the unit in semi-darkness. The luminous ring also serves as a pilot for lamp heating, fan operation and temperature. Under the projector are the usual feet - three on this model. They all have rubber pads to avoid slippage.
