Presentation
InFocus has put a lot of effort into this model. First of all there's a Faroudja FLI 2310 DCDi+ video processing chipset that makes many improvements to the image, such as reducing stairstepping, increasing definition, reducing video noise, etc. Then, the contrast level is announced as being above average, at 2200:1 for a brightness of 750 lumens, which is sure to result in excellent quality blacks. Finally, compatibility is not an issue with DVI (HDCP), YUV and RGB, HDTV 1080i to 480i, but also XGA (1024x768) and of course the NTSC, PAL and SECAM video standards are all covered.
Note that the 200-watt lamp can operate in two modes, allowing its life to be prolonged to a maximum of 4,000 hours. In the second mode, power drops to 160 watts. Another interesting detail is that the projector has a 12-volt connector that allows an electrically-operated projection screen to be plugged in via a 3.5 mm jack. That allows the screen's descent and ascent to be triggered by the projector.
