Fall Extreme Gamer System Shootout Part 3: Alienware's ALX
"Champagne Wishes And Caviar Dreams." - Robin Leach
The ALX is Alienware’s premier level of custom-built performance powerhouses. Alienware keeps in touch with you throughout the entire order and delivery cycle. The ALX team will call to help determine the best components based on the games you play and applications you use. After ordering, ALX customers are updated via email and text messaging as to the status of the system as it moves through the build process. Additionally, customers will receive an invitation to tour the Miami facility where the ALX was built (Airfare and accommodations are not included).
Alienware markets the ALX line to customers with the intent that they walk away feeling as thought they are joining a community of privileged owners. They want you to think you just bought a brand new, hand built Lamborghini, and do their best to make new owners feel this way. Like Onstar in the automobile communications market in the U.S., Alienware uses another program to up-class their owners. Every ALX Customer has access to exclusive free game help from Gamehelper for an entire year.
