NVIDIA's various quality setting don't only affect anisotropic filtering, but have a visible effect on standard tests and FSAA benchmarks as well. The only really interesting results are the Quality mode scores, though. Nonetheless we tested with all modes (scores in gray) to try to give you the full picture. Since the scores achieved in Performance and High Performance modes were identical in Direct3D, we only listed the Performance scores here.
The Radeon 9800 was still able to beat the FX 5800 Ultra in this benchmark, but the FX 5900 comes up from behind to take the lead. At 1600 x 1200, it is a full 23 percent faster than the Radeon 9800 PRO 256 MB!
