As before in Unreal Tournament 2003, there are practically no performance differences between the NVIDIA FX cards when using anisotropic filtering. The fact that the ATi boards trail their rivals by such a large margin is explained through the higher texture quality settings, which incur a 15-20 percent performance penalty. We will take a closer look at the differences between the texture quality settings in an upcoming article and compare them with NVIDIA's image quality. Therefore, these results should not be understood as final.
