OpenGL Workstation Graphics: Now We're Talking High End!

Viewperf 8.1 (Synthetic)

The Viewperf benchmarks are purely synthetic, and were incorporated into the evaluation with a lower priority than the application benchmarks; we used version 8.1. We were waiting until the very last minute for the new Viewperf version, which should actually have been ready for this year's Siggraph. Unfortunately www.spec.org didn't manage to get it done in time.

It should be noted that Viewperf results are not always accompanied by application benchmarks, even though the latter have a higher practical value.
