Discount shop offers that bait dealmongers with half-truths and jargon will surely continue to sell well. But in three years, who will still want a mousy gray PC box with a whining ventilation system under the desk? Farsighted market observers have known this for longer than anyone else. In the long run, the classic virtues of quality workmanship, user-friendliness and longevity win out. And the bulk of the all-around PCs from discounters are far from that.
