Single CPU in Dual Operation: P4 3.06 GHz with Hyper-Threading Technology
DirectX 7 Games: 3D Mark 2000
The 3D Mark 2000 measures the Direct3D performance of DirectX 7 in Windows XP. Age and experience are the trumps here: the AMD Athlon XP 2800+ in combination with the nForce 2 chipset and Dual-DDR333 trounces the fastest Intel Pentium 4/ 2800 with Rambus memory (PC1066) by over 800 points. 16239 points from the Athlon XP 2800+ is exceptional! The 3.06 GHz P4 HT will not even run the 3D Mark 2000.
DirectX 8 Games: 3D Mark 2001 SE
The 3D Mark 2001 measured the Direct3D performance of DirectX 8 in Windows XP. It was neck and neck, but still in the lead was the P4/3066, which beat the AMD Athlon XP 2800+. Our 3.6 GHz version of the P4 scored over 17000 in video - without any tricks!
