Optical Mice: Microsoft and Logitech
Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 4.0
This is the wired version of the previous mouse and that is really the only difference between them. They are exactly the same shape and have exactly the same features. This one is just a bit lighter because it has no batteries. So for the ergonomics and features, just read what we said about the Wireless Intellimouse Explorer.
Some users will find that the lighter-weight offers more precision because of the weight difference. For some, however, the lightness factor and the price of $40 (50 Euros) represent attractive price/quality variables.
But if you want ergonomics that approach perfection and a multidirectional scroll button without the outlay of the wireless mouse, then go for it. Caveat emptor: this model only comes in one color, but it is a good one, especially for $40.
