Tom's Take On NVIDIA's New GeForce2 GTS
3D Card Benchmarks - Dagoth Moor Zoological Gardens
If you remember last year's GeForce launch and our article about it, then you will certainly also remember the follow up GeForce256 and the First T&L-Title about DMZG from WXP. This demo is a pure T&L-title that does not run properly on Fury Rage MAXX. Still it comes with an integrated benchmark, which turned out to be quite useful, since WXP's latest demo 'Isle of Morg', which comes with the GeForce2 GTS review stuff, does unfortunately not include a benchmark anymore.
DMZG is still the most beautiful 3D game/demo that I've ever seen.
At last another benchmark which is not purely CPU dependent. It shows GeForce2 GTS in a very good light, although I couldn't tell you if GeForce2 scores better than GeForce because of its higher fill rate or because of its faster T&L. I personally would suggest the fill rate.
At 32-bit color we see the familiar picture once more. GeForce2 would love to score better than Quadro and GeForce if it wasn't restricted by its 333 MHz DDR SDRAM at only 128-bit bus width.
