Seven AMD 785G-Based Motherboards Rounded Up

Benchmark Results: Applications

Let's start with the audio and video encoding benches:

With all of the results within a percent or two of each other, there's not much to talk about. Likewise, the 3ds Max 2009 benchmarks show that there is not much for us to look at.

We now look to see if the productivity benchmarks, including AVG antivirus and the file compression tests, show some differences:

AVG Anti-Virus is a dead heat, but the WinRAR and WinZip benchmarks finally demonstrate enough memory bandwidth reliance to show a very slight difference between the AM3/DDR3 and AM2+/DDR2 boards. However, the tiny difference remains insignificant and is not something that a user would notice.
