The following charts display frame rates obtained on an Athlon 1200 system and then the same set on a Pentium 4 1500 platform. The same settings are applied in every category. In this section, we tested with a resolution of 1024x768 pixels. Whether you use the 2000 or the 2001 version, 3DMark is a synthetic benchmark. Real performance situations are not always simulated during synthetic tests. The following results should thus be taken with a grain or two of salt. They are only intended to supplement the game tests.

In terms of its total score, the GeForce3 is about 25 percent faster than the GeForce2 Ultra in this test.
