Installing The VapoChill System
Since installing the system involves more than just hooking up the evaporator, we've documented the entire process. You have to keep in mind a number of additional things that all help to insulate the CPU and prevent condensation.
We used a Pentium 4 motherboard with a Socket 478 from Asus - the P4G8X. Here, though, we've recorded the installation on another board, the Gigabyte GA-8INXP. The image above shows the still-virgin processor socket.
The first thing you have to do is unlock and remove the mounting frame for the processor cooler so you can place the insulating pad underneath it (see image).
