ULi will keep using HyperTransport in Intel-platform solutions

published Chipset vendor ULi Electronics will continue utilizing HyperTransport bus technology as the northbridge-to-southbridge interconnect in its solutions for the Intel platform, says the company. For ULi's latest northbridge for the Intel platform, the M1685, the HyperTransport enables a peak bandwidth of 1.6 GB/s, according to ULi.
Next week, at IDF Taiwan, the company will unveil the M1685 as a part of a chipset also including the M1567 southbridge.
