There’s retro and then there’s retro, but the version of retro that’s inspired by the look of old typewriters is alive and well in Azio's stable.

At Computex, Ducky once again showed off a variety of keyboard products with fun names, complex back stories, and enticing options for consumers.

It was bound to happen, but fans of more compact keyboards who also dig what Razer’s laying down will be glad to hear that there’s now a tenkeyless version of the Razer BlackWidow Chroma V2.

And then there were three--mechanical keyboards, that is--in HyperX’s growing lineup. The company has added the Alloy FPS Pro and the Alloy Elite.

Even though the major motherboard OEMs (except Asrock) have gaming keyboards, they seem to be putting almost no resources into marketing them.

It's not just Adomax that's teasing mechanical laptop keyboard designs; iOne had one on display at Computex that appears to be even thinner.

The slew of new thin and light gaming notebooks from the likes of Acer, Asus, Gigabyte, and MSI had much in common with one another, but only Acer and MSI saw fit to include mechanical keyboards.

Not to sound like an ad slogan, but if you liked the iconic IBM/Lenovo laptop trackball-and-touchpad combo, you’ll love the Yoda II mechanical keyboard.
