Connectivity
The AL2032W is very complete. Of all the displays we tested for this article, it's the one with the widest range connectivity, including VGA/DVI, cinch, and S-Video.
Mixed Fidelity
The Acer AL2032W's color fidelity was only average. Few colors were perfect, in spite of the fact that 95% had a DeltaE of < 2.
Black spot | White spot | Contrast |
---|---|---|
0.46 | 186 | 404: 1 |
For once, the brightness level was properly regulated. That's rare! The black level, unfortunately, was a little high compared to the best 19" monitors, and the result is a heavy toll on contrast. The contrast was quite stable, by the way, though we've seen better since. The contrast peaked at 30% and 70% brightness.
The color gamut of the AL2032W is compatible with the color space generally used on PCs, yet a certain weakness in the greens and reds is noticeable.
