Sheet Metal & Stamping Process, Continued

This is the long stamping production line that produces the metal to be used in cases. Because there are so many stages, the parts for a case are run down the line in stages to achieve the finished metal pieces that are required for assembly.

Stamping is not the only process that takes place on this production line. In certain situations, the metal is also bent to form a shape. In this picture you can see that the bottom and front are bent to form the "L" shape that you see. Using this process creates a stronger case since there are no seams to rivet or weld.

  • Those guys been working with vendors that can supply vacuum deposited, electroplated, printed and spray painted plastic parts. This is old news..
