Seven of NVIDIA's Latest and Greatest Cards Tested
Gigabyte GeForce 6600 GT Silentpipe II
What sets Gigabyte's GeForce 6600 GT apart from the other contenders is its fanless passive copper cooler. However, this construction, consisting of three heatsinks using heatpipes, takes up two expansion slots. Overall, the design is very stable with very high build quality, and the memory chips do not require any kind of cooler, either passive or active. The card also does not require an auxiliary power connection.
Feature Set
Breakout box for Video-Out and 2 DVI-VGA adapters, but no Video-In functionality.
Gigabyte has geared the feature set of its card towards video. The card ships with the software DVD player Power DVD 6, and a little breakout box with an S-video output and an HDTV connector. It also sports a DVI-I connector as well as a standard VGA output. If needed, the DVI port can also be used with a second analog monitor using the adapter included with the card.
