Taiwan DRAM Makers To Start Producing 6F Squared DRAM In H2

While leading DRAM makers from Japan and South Korea migrate their DRAM production to 6F array architecture, DRAM makers are also expected to follow suit in the second half of 2008, according to industry sources. Elpida Memory is to introduce the new array architecture on 68 nm from the third quarter of 2008, whereas Qimonda will also start using the new architecture design on its 65 nm process in the same period, according to the sources.
