Comparison: Seven 21" and 22" CRT Monitors
NEC MultiSync Fe1250+, Continued
Given the quality of the 2060u, we could not expect less than the best from the FE1250+. And its image is indeed highly honorable and in relation to its characteristics. As is typical with NEC and Mitsubishi, the geometry is exemplary in all standard resolutions from 800 x 600 to 1920 x 1440.
Sharpness and brightness are above reproach and the moiré low, though still perceptible. The image is even across the whole surface, and the color rendering excellent. Full tones come out well, and the purity is faultless.
The FE1250+ is compatible with the DCC/DCI standard and so can be adjusted with either the OSD or Naviset software. See the Mitsubishi DiamondPro 2060u test for more about this program. To sum up, NEC has produced an excellent monitor, a bit cheaper than the Diamond Pro 2060u, which could attract the (slightly more) thrifty user.
