It’s hard to find a machine that can do a bit of everything and do it well, but HeyGears has risen to the challenge with its new G1 Series. HeyGears has spent over a decade designing high-quality 3D resin printers and the software and materials to go along with them. With the G1 Series, it takes its expertise a step further to introduce the world’s first desktop full-color 3D and UV printer, effectively combining three capabilities into one incredibly versatile device.

At the top of the series, HeyGears G1X model brings full-color 3D printing capabilities alongside flat UV and textured relief prints for a 3D texture effect. The base G1 does not print in full 3D, but all models support flat UV and texture relief prints. They start from strong fundamentals, offering 1440 x 2400 DPI (exclusive to models with the Epson I3200-U1HD Printhead) color printing for ultra-fine details, and they offer a 420x330 mm printing area and can print onto a huge range of substrates, ranging from metal and wood to ceramic, glass, and over 400 other materials.

The printers are modular, too, so even if you start with the base G1, you can effectively upgrade to the top-tier G1X down the line by adding on the more advanced Epson I3200 printhead and the 8x1000mL resin station. The latter unlocks full 3D printing with a volume up to 330 x 420 x 130mm in the open flatbed mode.

The HeyGears G1X can print elaborate 3D models and even use transparent material for stunning effects like the one above. The system can save time with its relatively fast print speeds, simplifying post-processing workflows with water-soluble supports. This way, you can remove your prints and simply soak them to reveal their final form — no need to meticulously engineer supports in your prints or carefully remove them afterward.

The G1 Series is also easy to use. It features modular capabilities, allowing you to attach the parts you need for different printing tasks, such as a rotary tool and a resin station. It also prevents clogs with a quad-layer anti-clogging system that includes a white-ink stirring system to prevent pigment sedimentation in inks, a heated printhead that provides optimal viscosity and consistent ejection, automated cleaning cycles that run when the system has been idle for a set period, and a sealed moisturizing state for the printhead that the system uses to prevent it from drying out during extended idle periods.

The G1 Series isn't just more affordable to buy than industrial alternatives, either. With its combined technologies and features, the G1 Series can help lower the total cost of ownership. The Epson I3200-U1HD printhead in the G1X helps lower long-term maintenance costs by reducing the frequency of printhead replacements. HeyGears' ink and resin are also priced lower than those for other printers.

The HeyGears G1 Series can even help you create. With AIGC One-Tap Modeling, you can convert text or images into 3D models, or take 2D pictures and automatically add 3D texture to them with a single click.

Other full-color 3D printers like this are out there, but until now, they’ve been largely limited to large industrial applications due to their high prices (they normally cost tens of thousands of dollars). The HeyGears G1 Series is shaking that up with a price tag under $5,000.

While the G1 Series isn’t quite here yet. HeyGears is launching its Kickstarter campaign soon. This presents an opportunity to get the printer for an even lower price. HeyGears will give you a VIP benefit if you make a refundable $50 deposit toward the G1 Series. This will get you a $300 discount on top of the Super Early Bird Price offered in the Kickstarter campaign, a free bottle of UV ink (exclusive to deposit backers who back our Kickstarter project within the first 48 hours of the campaign launch), priority shipping, and a year of warranty coverage. With these discounts, the base G1 starts at $1,699, while the top-tier G1X with a full 3D resin station costs just $3,299.
