MSI MEGA Barebones: Two Unequal Brothers
Aside from the processor support and the motherboard, the MEGA865 is almost identical to the AMD version, i.e. the MEGA180. In order to differentiate the two barebones from the exterior, the MEGA 865 is red/black. The MEGA180 comes in gray/black. Both barebones have a large color display, multiple slots for various multimedia or photo storage cards and a built-in radio. Many local stations can be received via an external antenna, but the reception leaves much to be desired. If the Mega is directly connected to the house antenna, the barebone can match any radio. By using the remote control or one of the special button switches on the front side, the barebone can start the radio or music player directly without having to load an operating system.
MSI MEGA: Chic design with a colorful display
The music player also switches on the built-in CD or DVD drive at the same time so that an audio or MP3 medium can also be played without Windows. All functions for the music player and for the radio can be conveniently executed with the remote control. Furthermore, the remote control also works with the Home Theater software, equivalent to Microsoft Media Center.
