DFI launches SLI and dual-display motherboards
DFI announced the LANParty NF4 SLI-DR and LANPartyUT NF4 Ultra-D motherboards for the AMD Athlon 64 (socket 939) processors. Both boards are based on Nvidia's nForce4 chipset.
The LANParty NF4 SLI-DR motherboard is DFI's first product to support Nvidia's SLI technology and run two graphics cards (GeForce 6600 GT or higher) within one system. The LANPartyUT NF4 Ultra-D motherboard can run dual display cards.
According to DFI, both motherboards support Serial ATA II hard drives and Native Command Queuing (NCQ). Serial ATA II delivers a high-speed transfer rate of three GByte per second. NCQ uses asynchronous I/O and increases drive reliability in heavy workloads by decreasing mechanical wear and tear. (THG)
