SteelSeries launched a new affiliate program targeted specifically at streamers, who will act as advocates for the brand and its products. The company is now accepting sign-ups for the SteelSeries Affiliate Rewards Program, which will offer a generous commission on sales generated through unique banner ads and links provided to approved affiliates.
SteelSeries said it has the utmost respect for streamers, especially those trying to make it a full time job. The company said the streaming community has been very supporting of SteelSeries products, and that it wants to return the gesture. To celebrate the launch of the program, any streamer who signs up before October 30, and is approved as an affiliate, will receive 8 percent from all sales generated by their unique links.
"The streaming community has become an incredible group of SteelSeries brand advocates – far beyond those who are officially a part of our SteelSeries Stream Team," said Ehtisham Rabbani, SteelSeries CEO. "The new affiliate program is our way to award them for the work they are already doing – spreading the word about SteelSeries and our incredible products."
In addition to the 8 percent commission, the first 50 streamers who are approved will receive a SteelSeries Welcome Pack, which includes a headset and other SteelSeries swag.
The SteelSeries Affiliate Program signups are open now and are available to streamers from the U.S. and Canada. The rest of the world will gain access later this year.
