Axiomtek Launches a Palm-sized Intel Atom Fanless System

Axiomtek's eBOX530-830-FL targets for nearly any field of space-limited and mobile applications like in-vehicle PCs, in-flight systems and other embedded applications.

Axiomtek's eBOX530-830-FL is a compact, embedded system that measures only 160.4 x 135.4 x 60 mm and is powered by Intel's NM10 Express chipset paired with a dual-core Intel Atom N2600 Cedarview processor clocked at 1.6 GHz. The system has been designed to "resist severe environments" and features an IP40-rated aluminum and cold rolled steel enclosure that has a vibration resistance of up to 3 Grms and can be mounted on a din-rail, wall, stand or with a standard VESA mount. Additionally, the system's fanless cooling design is capable of performing silently at operating temperatures ranging from -10°C to +50°C.

The eBOX530-830-FL features a single DDR3-800 SO-DIMM that supports a maximum of 2 GB of memory, one 2.5" SATA drive bay, a CFast slot, and a vibration and shock resistance lockable DC-in power connector. With regards to I/O connectors, the system features one 10/100/1000 Ethernet Port, two RS-232 COM ports, four USB 2.0 connectors, HD Audio and VGA, and DisplayPort outputs.

In addition, its CFast™ slot can endure vibration up to 3Grms and the lockable DC-in connector can also significantly reduce the impact of vibration & shock.”

    Your quote doesn't specify the size where it says "measuring only" were the sentence structure implies that this should be there. IDK if that's a typo or the guy whom said it made the mistake.

    If it's not something that you care about, then why bother reading about it, let alone commenting about it? It's clearly not meant to appeal to high-end customers if it's using Atom, so I see no reason to complain about it not doing something that it's not meant to do and really shouldn't be expected of it anyway.

    I actually like the thing, could be mounted in my scooter for some on-road video recording and music playing. Too bad this probably costs more than the scooter itself...
