AMD Posts Catalyst 13.11 Beta9.5 Driver

AMD has posted its new Catalyst 13.11 Beta9.5 graphics driver, which brings all of the previous fixes in the 13.11 drivers, as well as a couple new ones. This time it's solely a bug-fix release, so there are no performance increases yet, except slightly improved frame-pacing in select games when running in a Quad-CrossFire configuration. You can find the highlights below:

Feature Highlights of The AMD Catalyst 13.11 Beta9.5 Driver for Windows

  • Includes all Feature Highlights of The AMD Catalyst 13.11 Beta9.4 Driver
  • Resolves the issue of AMD Overdrive missing in the AMD Catalyst Control Center for the AMD Radeon™ R9 290 Series graphics cards
  • Resolves intermittent flickering seen on some AMD Radeon R9 270x graphics cards
  • Resolves graphics corruption seen in Starcraft
  • Improves frame pacing results in AMD Quad CrossFire configurations for the following: Hitman: Absolution, and Total War: Rome 2

As always with Beta drivers, AMD mentions that the driver comes "AS IS". It can be downloaded here.

Me always sticks with AMD Beta drivers for the latest bug fixes and performance updates. The current driver is 13.11_beta v9.4 which is an awesome driver for playing BF4, Crysis 3 etc smoothly on RadeonHD7870XT GPU. Hopes 9.5 will be even better. Good job AMD......

I know this may be a long shot, but I cannot install the beta drivers on my HD 3850, is this card no longer supported?

Oldest supported cards according to the release notes are the 5000 series.

try looking for AMD legacy drivers. current drivers only support down to HD5k series

This is the best performing driver yet. Even though it's not listed in the release notes, these drivers improve performance on BF4, sleeping dogs and other titles on the r9 280x and other cards as well. Just check the guru3d forums, there are many users reporting positive results.:)

Last year I was plagued with Skyrim black screen of death (Graphics card freeze) issues. Forums are full of such reports from ATI/AMD graphics card owners. I started a new game two weeks ago and the problem still persisted, despite numerous driver updates. I replaced my AMD card with a Geforce 650 Boost and the problem was gone.

That's odd, Skyrim plays just fine on my r9 280x.
