Apple has confirmed that the iPhone 5 will be available in South Korea on Friday, with more than 50 additional countries due to receive the smartphone later this month. The confirmation comes after the firm managed to get its supply chain issues under control, subsequently leading to ship times in the U.S. dropping considerably for in-store and online purchases.
The iPhone 5 is currently available in 47 countries, with the the following countries set to receive the device in the coming weeks:
December 14: Albania, Antigua and Barbuda, Armenia, Bahamas, Bahrain, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, China, Costa Rica, Cyprus, Ecuador, Grenada, Indonesia, Israel, Jamaica, Jordan, Kuwait, Macedonia, Malaysia, Moldova, Montenegro, Panama, Paraguay, Philippines, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Taiwan, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and Venezuela.
December 21: Barbados, Botswana, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Egypt, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritius, Morocco, Niger, Senegal, St. Kitts, St. Lucia, St.Vincent & the Grenadines, Tunisia, Uganda and Vietnam.
Apple recently announced that the iPhone 5, iPad Mini and the fourth-generation iPad would launch for Chinese consumers this month as well.
