iPhone 5 Launches in 22 More Countries Today

Wonder how many Apple will have sold come Monday morning.

Apple has already had enormous success with the iPhone 5, selling five million handsets in the first three days of availability alone. Apple announced the milestone on Monday morning, immediately after the iPhone 5's launch weekend. Five days later, the phone is going on sale in an additional 22 countries.

Today, the people of Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland will be able to get their hands on the iPhone 5. This brings the total number of countries where the iPhone is available to 31. Apple plans to launch the phone in 100 countries by the end of the year.

In case you missed it, the iPhone 5 boasts a 1GHz dual-core Apple A6 SoC, 1GB of RAM, up to 64GB of storage, a 4.0-inch Retina display, an 8-megapixel camera in the back with a 1.2-megapixel lens up front, WiFi, and support for 4G LTE. It's due out on Friday.

    Damn, if only the iPhone 5 was available in America. Just called my local apple store and was told the they were out of stock and I had to order online. Wtf!. Cmon, apple. I want mah eye foan.

    I'm gonna patent the smart tablet. It will have all the bells and whistles of regular tablet but smarter cause it has a phone built in and will fit in your hand. I think this will make smart phones obsolete. Wait...
