Victorinox Shows off the Presentation Pro

Victorinox, maker of the original Swiss army knife released what they call the Swissflash a while back and while it’s not exactly new, we went to check it out anyway and found that the company is releasing a pro version that’s even cooler really soon.

Unfortunately all the knives were in cases so we couldn’t play with them (because the world is full of crazies who ruin it for everyone, don’t you know) and even the guys working the booth couldn’t take them out to show us, so we had to make do with leaving sticky fingerprints and fogging up the glass.

Victorinox calls it the most advanced business tool available and for a Swiss army knife, it is pretty business-y. It comes with up to 32GB of storage which is protected with fingerprint authorization, includes a laser pointer and a Bluetooth remote control as well as your usual scissors, nail file, blade, screwdriver and keyring doodads that you get on a normal Swiss army knife.

One of the cooler things is that the USB stick is detachable so you can bring it on the plane and stash the knife part in your checked luggage. That said, I lose everything (one of the reasons I buy cheap USBs and don’t store sensitive data on them pretty much ever) so detaching it from my keys would be dangerous.

The Presentation Pro ranges from 8GB to 32GB and $169.95 to $329.95 in price and the less advanced Swissflash (no laser pointer or Bluetooth remote but a ball point pen and an LED mini white light) ranges from 1GB to 16 GB at a retail price of $39.95 and $109.95.
