GeForce GTX 285 Gets 2 GB: Gigabyte's GV-N285OC-2GI
Benchmark Results: Far Cry 2
Far Cry 2 renders some very nice images, but its physics leaves much to be desired. It’s no strain for today’s top cards at most settings, though our very last test did reveal a weakness in all three cards.
None of the cards had a problem displaying smooth frame rates at 2560x1600 using Far Cry 2’s High-Quality setting.
Changing to Ultra High quality brought little added load to our powerhouse graphics processors.
Adding 8x AA to Ultra High Quality pushed all three cards below smooth frame rates at 2560x1600. The dual-GPU GTX 295 took the greatest performance loss at this setting, but maintained its lead over both GeForce GTX 285 graphics cards.
