The MythTV Convergence: Unofficial Plug-ins

MythWeb Plug-ins

These plug-ins interact more closely with MythWeb and thus merit a category of their own. Some of the features provided in these plug-ins overlap with existing or newer MythTV features, depending on which version you're using (the newer the version, the more likely it is that such overlap exists).

MythBurn

MythBurn is one such extension - it is obsoleted by MythTV version 0.20, wherein it's replaced by an official archival plug-in called MythArchive (and appears here mostly for historical value, or for the benefit of those who've not yet updated to the most current version). This MythWeb extension enables its users to burn MythTV recordings to CD or DVD, and may be used in conjunction with MythArchive.

MythStream

Like MythStreamTV, MythStream enables real-time recording and playback of audio and video feeds via Internet streaming. MythStream uses the Linux mplayer as its backend and can read URLs, playlists, and XML or RSS feeds. It can even act as a podcast client, and also enables local or remote access to your MythTV audio repository.
