Shuttle’s SX58H7 Ultra-Portable Core i7 Platform

Benchmark Results: Applications

A small loss in iTunes and a tie in Lame put the XPC SX58H7 audio performance barely beneath our best-performing full-sized motherboard.

TMPGEnc gives the full-sized board a slight lead using the Xvid codec, while Shuttle takes a slightly smaller lead in DviX.

A win in Mainconcept and a tied-finish in 3ds Max 2009 swing the performance pendulum towards Shuttle.

Our top-performing full-sized board trumps the SX58H7 in hard-drive-intensive applications, even though both used the same drivers, chipset, and AHCI BIOS setting.
