Report: Foxconn-made Apple Tablet to Ship Q1 '10
Here it is, hot off the press! The latest rumor regarding Apple's tablet says the device will be manufactured by Foxconn and will ship at the beginning of next year.
Because the news gods decided I just couldn't wake up on a Wednesday having escaped four entire days without hearing anything about Apple's rumored tablet, Digitimes is reporting that the device will be Foxconn-made with a release early next year. Citing market sources, DT reports that the device is expected to hit the market in the first quarter of 2010, with initial shipments from Foxconn being in the 300,000-400,000 range.
The Digitimes sources went on to say that the device will have a 10.6 inch screen and speculated that Foxconn could perhaps secure the panels from its subsidiary Innolux Display. This of course goes against previous reports that said Wintek had landed the contract but who ever said rumors had to make sense?
