As a follow up to Micron Technology's announcement last year that it was able to develop a 1.75-micron design in a 8-megapixel image sensor for digital cameras, the number-one CMOS image sensor company will now begin making the 1.75-micron design CMOS image sensors available for incorporating into handsets, the company stated during the first day of 3GSM World Congress 2007 (February 12-15) Barcelona, Spain.
