Get your Office 2010 beta on today!

The Microsoft Office 2010 beta leaked onto P2P networks earlier this week, but those of you who have been holding out for something a bit more official can safely download away.

Microsoft today revealed at the Professional Developers Conference (PDC) the public beta of Office 2010, SharePoint Server 2010, Project 2010, Visio 2010, Office Web Apps for businesses and Office Mobile 2010.

Click here to get your hands on the download (if you're feeling adventurous with your desktop software, that is!).

Those who love productivity software should be excited. Now only if it were as exciting as this:

actually, the movie was kinda funny

Why the ironic touch, Marcus? Bits like "if you're feeling adventurous with your desktop software, that is!" or "Now only if it were as exciting as this" don't add anything to the article except for your little sense of envy toward MS for coming out with a very good and widespread product.

You can't help it, can you?

It's beta software.

doc70 :
"Now only if it were as exciting as this"

It's also an office suite. Since when is an office suite exciting?

Fast & easy download and installation. Have used Word and Outlook so far and they're working well.

Now THIS is the kind of TV Ad that Microsoft should have on TV (in case they dont for some reason).

Its a it long for Network TV (1min max)... but it goes from serious to silly properly.

Love the AD.

For fun... mac guy-like looking guy gets blown up.

Is it going to bring back the wizard for excel or is it is going to cut my productivity by 50% like Office 2007 when making charts?

Downloaded, installed, and it seems to work fine. Even though on Vista the UAC takes ages to pop up before the installation.

I tried the link again, same problem. My browsers get redirected from the English page to a Chinese one:

Any ideas why!?

I wish they'd do away with that stupid movie! Never the less, like the alpha version, I like this one: improved, but not a major overhaul.
