There are deals in every direction at the moment as we lurch ever-forward to the massive Black Friday sales extravaganza, and speaking of massive, today's deal is on one rather large Hard Disk Drive. The Seagate BarraCuda Compute 24TB HDD is marked down to just $249.99 at Newegg, a superb price for a large storage drive, especially with the recent price rises across the board on RAM, memory, and storage.

Seagate BarraCuda (24TB) Hard Disk Drive: was $299.99 now $249.99 at Newegg

This massive 24TB 7,200 RPM drive can store more than its fair share of data. It features 512MB of cache and is one of the fastest hard disk drives (HDDs) available.

Seagate's BarraCuda range of hard drives comes in several sizes, from a tiny 1TB drive to this 24TB monster and above. The BarraCuda is backed up by Seagate's 2-year limited parts and labor warranty. It might not have the impressive 5-year warranty of the EXOS range, but you are paying a lot less for this non-enterprise drive.

We are starting to see massive price increases on some of our favorite computer components, with RAM especially impacted. Knock-on effects from NAND and memory price hikes mean SSD prices are going to go up, and HDD drives will follow the trend. It's worth noting prices now and during Black Friday to see if it's a good time to pick up some extra storage, before price rises get silly.

Aren't these drives incredibly unreliable? A similar thread a bit ago mentioned Seagate drives having an awful failure rate. No wonder they're so cheap.
